Canadian Maple Leaf

The Canadian Maple Leaf was the first popular bullion coin produced from pure gold in the Americas. This coin features a Canadian maple leaf motif on the reverse. The obverse depicts Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. This type of bullion coin is increasing in demand, especially in the Northwest, due to their attractive design and beautiful natural color. The Royal Canadian Mint started producing these bullion coin in the late 1970's and are continuing production to this day. The Canadian Gold Maple Leaf can be found in denominations of 1/10 ounce ($5), 1/4 ounce ($10), 1/2 ounce ($25), and 1 ounce ($50).
